ANTI-REFLECTIVE COATING (AR) ELIMINATE REFLECTIONS FROM THE FRONT AND BACK SURFACES OF YOUR EYEWEAR LENSES. THESE PROPERTIES ARE GENERALLY APPLIED ON BOTH THE FRONT AND BACK OF LENS. WITH REFLECTIONS GONE, MORE LIGHT PASSES THROUGH YOUR LENSES TO OPTIMIZE VISUAL ACUITY WITH FEWER DISTRACTIONS (EXPECIALLY AT NIGHT). GERENALLY, AR COATING IS USED FOR PRESCRIPTION EYEWEAR OR NIGHT DRIVING GLASSES...ETC. 
SOME BRAND SUNGLASSES ALSO USED THE ANTI-REFLECTIVE COATING PROCESS ON THE BACKSIDE OF SUNGLASSES LENS SURFACE. SUNLIGHT CAN OFTENTIMES CREEP THROUGH THE TOP AND SIDES OF YOUR GLASSES, REFLECT OFF THE BACKSIDE YOUR LENSES, AND RIGHT INTO YOUR EYES.
